Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peter Basilica Wheelchair-Accessible Tour

This is the most comprehensive tour of the Vatican’s Museums we can offer you. You will have the chance to visit the Cabinet of Masks exclusively, it will reveal you a section of the museums that you will be able to admire far from the crowd, to give you a taste of what it was like when they were admitted only few and highly selected guests: a real privilege! Following, the wonderful galleries where statues and portraits will bring you to a face to face meeting with the Roman and Greek culture, they will take us to the highest Renaissance expression with Raphael’s frescoes in his Rooms and Michelangelo’s ones in the Sistine Chapel. A timeless beauty that amazes now as much as then! Afterwards we will visit Saint Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world, the core of Christianity and beyond. Most of the museum spaces are wheelchair accessible but there is a specific itinerary. If you want to add the visit to the St. Peters Basilica to your tour, there are two different options:

1. You can rent the wheelchair for free at the Vatican Museums. The wheelchair route will be different and shorter, when we arrive at the Sistine I will have to return the wheelchair to the Museum and then we can walk the access stairs between the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica and visit the Basilica without a wheelchair.
2. You can use your wheelchair, but for those who will be in a wheelchair and their companion, the route will be different and they will not be able to access the passageway between the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica. You will be redirected to the entrance of the Vatican museums and take an outside route to get to St. Peter’s Basilica.
